Runco temp probe holder

Hi folks,
Reefer on a budget, at this stage I only would like to have safety for my heaters in case the thermostat goes bad and stuck in on position. I bought Runco temp controller with probe already covered with sleeve for saltwater use. Set my high point at 82 which will cut power to my 2 eheim heaters.
Both the probe and heaters are in the sump, I run my tank at 78-79.
Any suggestion for simple way to hold the temp probe in the sump? Rather not buy $30 probe holder at this time

I use TLF Veggiemag to hold probe in sumps. You could use the suction cup version, but it will give way at some point.

Is it ok to pinch the cable for the probe? I have mag float magnet that I no longer use

I decided to use zip tie and small rock to hold the probe. thanks
