Running NR Biopellets, should I stop running Carbon?

I do too. I think with all the possible chemical warfare from the corals, that I will always run it.

Yes, make no mistake organic carbon dosing and gac are completely different. During the first several month of pellets I ran about half the amount of gac. I was afraid of shocking my corals with too much water clarity.

I run both biopellets and BRS activated carbon with no issues. :)

I've been running the chem pure and just added the biopellets. Now my water looks cloudy. I have not checked my parameters yet but any other ideas?

The cloudiness is coming from the pellets. If you already have a decent bio load, the pellets cause a bacterial bloom. It is best to add the pellets slowly to an already existing system.

That is interesting. I have a 50 with a very light bioload that is doing fine. But this 100 is still cloudy. Thanks for the feedback!

Cloudiness is from bac bloom. Happens when you have higher NO3 and drop in the pellets.
