Hey all, I have mushrooms and leather corals. I was wondering what else I can put in the tank with those lights. Thanks in advance.

How many bulbs?
How many watts total?
What are the tank dimensions?

In general, it would take quite a bit of T8s to grow coral. Although, some lower light stuff, or even NPS corals could be possible.

What type of corals are you talking about?

Lower light stuff would be most shrooms, some zoas/palys/, Cyphastrea, some of the brains. Maybe some others could chime in with other suggestions.
Non-Photo-Synthetic corals would be things like sun corals and certain gorgonians.

If you wanted to know for sure, you could test a few different cheap frags...or a PAR meter could give you an idea.

Like I said though, most corals want powerful lights. If you want to reef, it would be worth looking into more powerful fixtures. They don't have to be expensive. Folks grow plenty of coral with cheap black box type LEDs, like marsaqua.
