And we have a new tank! After spending the whole day transferring everything over, I'm done. No leaks and the overflow performs like a champ. Super quiet and I don't have to worry about overflows.

I was amazed at how dirty the Carbsea Seaflor Special Grade reef sand was. I spent a long time washing about 30 lbs of the sand and it still clouded the tank up. I imagine by tomorrow it will be all clear.

The last thing to finish will be the upper cabinet door and I can get back to sitting around and enjoying my slice of the ocean.

After aquiring a few more modules and another Vortech, I needed more room on my control wall. So I decided to build a new one. This time I tried to go for a cleaner look so I used some computer desk grommets to allow for easier access to wires and plugs. The larger size also allowed to hide a lot of the wires and clean up the spaghetti look of wires I had before.

Looking great! Is that a large colony of Hawkins on the left back?

It is a bottlebrush acropora, but I got it as a frag from someone so I'm not sure if this one is from ORA or not. It is very similar looking though.

I'm with charley!

Hello! Sorry it has been so long in posting any updates. Unfortunately, I don't have this tank anymore. I ended up moving across town and the new owner wanted to keep the tank as a built-in so I had to buy a new tank. I ended up getting a 75 gallon aquarium for the new house but as things tend to happen in this hobby, disaster struck during the move. While I was in the process of transfering the fish and coral, a heater got stuck on and ended up frying almost all of my corals and most of my fish. It was very disheartening. I basically had to start from scratch again. I have finally got the tank modestly stocked with fish and corals, so here is a video of my latest reef aquarium.
