Rust in carbon?

I just bought this activated carbon (Aqua clear) I ran out and needed some so I just bought this quick. Is this rust I can’t tell. Thanks!

have you tried washing it out? what happens if you do?
i see in other threads/forums people have put a magnet to it to see if it is actually rust, since rust is iron(FeO), what happens?

Could be a mix of carbon and GFO.

I tried the magnet and there is rust. What do I do to remove the rust that leached out?

And all my corals and nems are fine besides I realized my favia wasn’t full like normal.
