Hello! This build thread is on my new 100gallon peninsula from innovative marine. I scored it on a clearance buy stand and tank for a price I just couldn’t refuse!

eqipmnent so far:
-Tank 48x30x16
-Stand 35” tall
-Skimmer adaptive reef A6
-Sump Bashsea smart series 3618
-Flow 2 mp40s, and likely 2 xf350 gyres vertically in The back corners
-lights I’m undecided. I have two 250 radium halides and one kessil a360x. I’m either going to use the kessil as supplemental light and extended viewing or I’m going to go with 4 a360x in a 36” reefbrite bar. Both options will will concealed in a floating canopy.
-placement will be where my bubble hockey machine is. When I finished the basement back in 2018 , I wired a 20 amp gfci circuit for a system that I never built.

The backstory of me is a sps reefer from 2010-2016. Tank crash, sell off, got back in with a nano last year to knock the rust off and make sure I have the time commitment

enjoy some pics, follow the build!
Pics are system, location in basement, inspiration from my favorite tank ever, and some current livestock

Update 3/1
-painfully Listed my halides for sale, but the canopy is going be be very minimalistic in design. Just large enough to shield some light spill and house all the components
-illumination will be (3) a350x
-2 36” reef brite XHO’s
- 2 36” Orphek OR3 Blue sky’s

hoping that the 440 watts or so and the light spread is sufficient enough to not add a fourth a 360x

the rock scape is unlikely to exceed a 20x36” footprint, so I think this combo should produce a great combination of spectrum, with incredibly dense par in the center with softer areas down low.

mall lighting and powerheads scheduled to arrive this week so I can start designing the canopy !

here are a couple lagoon/shallow thanks for my aquascape inspiration
