I've also been playing around with marco mortar and dry rock. I made several small pieces that allow me to play lego live rock along the way. Here are a few ideas so far before I start curing the rocks. It's really hard to take pictures of rocks and get depth/contrast. Kids and I had fun playing with rocks and gluing them together.

Those look great. I read the best way to really show off your rock work is with a video. Videos do a much better job showing off depth.

Mine has been a mix of spraying and roller. What color are you going to paint it?
I have refinished my kitchen cabinets with my hvlp sprayer and liked the results. I've gone back and forth on colors. But I am going classic white for this stand. It stands the test of time .

I hate spraying white. It seems to take forever to get a good even appearance and I always have to have the wife come check it as it seems to play tricks on my eyes. And of course she wants this stand and canopy white. lol

Started curing rock today! I seeded with rock and bio media from the 75g setup. These guys will be curing while I finish the basement/tank/fish room!

...and this happened... they will go nicely with my 4ft T5 and 3ft t5 AqL fixtures. I plan to set them on the 75g to start coral acclimation. I plan to mount my lights 20"+ off the water so the a500x should work great. I'm excited to try out Kessil. Currently I run xr15 pros in my 75g.
