I've also been playing around with marco mortar and dry rock. I made several small pieces that allow me to play lego live rock along the way. Here are a few ideas so far before I start curing the rocks. It's really hard to take pictures of rocks and get depth/contrast. Kids and I had fun playing with rocks and gluing them together.
Thanks! I plan to spray it.The stand looks great. You going to spray it or paint it by hand?
Mine has been a mix of spraying and roller. What color are you going to paint it?Thanks! I plan to spray it.
I have refinished my kitchen cabinets with my hvlp sprayer and liked the results. I've gone back and forth on colors. But I am going classic white for this stand. It stands the test of time .Mine has been a mix of spraying and roller. What color are you going to paint it?
I will have to grab some video. Good points. Those look great. I read the best way to really show off your rock work is with a video. Videos do a much better job showing off depth.
I hate spraying white. It seems to take forever to get a good even appearance and I always have to have the wife come check it as it seems to play tricks on my eyes. And of course she wants this stand and canopy white. lolI have refinished my kitchen cabinets with my hvlp sprayer and liked the results. I've gone back and forth on colors.
