No they just detach.Have you tried treating them with antibacterial meds? Cipro, amoxicillin? Even chemiclean I've heard can have help. Turns white at the foot/base of the shroom in assuming.
So I do Interceptor as a prophylactic, overall the acros generally benefit from the treatment. Reset pod population. It killed off my invasive xenia. Just an overall amazing treatment when having tons of acros. I think that's the reason why I can't harbor shrooms.
I've wiped out my blasto collection and amazballs goni isn't too happy I believe from adding wild pieces to my system. I've grown most of my blastos and gonis for many many years, suddenly after a month or so of adding wild they succumbed to disease and fish eventually eating them.
I do chemi clean dips often on lps works great if I have the time. Moving forward I will be doing the dips on more challenging pieces.
