Hello! I have a 40g AIO. My Sherman Rose anemone has been happy in it for 7-8 months, growing and thriving since I added her in February. On Sunday, I noticed some white spots on the side of one of my clownfish. Didn’t quite look like ick but maybe bacteria or another issue so I used Rally at the advice of my LFS. They also suggested I combine with Kick-Ick (okay according to packaging) just in case. I had to go out of town Monday and returned last night. My spouse had been treating the water according to instructions and the clownfish looks much better but now the anemone is looking shrunken and sad. I thought it might be the result of the meds, so I did a ~30% water change and it looked a little better this morning. Now it’s shrunken again. I just tested the water. Calcium=364, Nitrate is 11.4, Alkalinity is 9.2dkH. Phosphate is 0.25-0.35. Magnesium ~1245ppm. PH is 7.9. Salinity 1.025. First pic is yesterday. Second pic is moments ago after water change. Video is Sunday when I was trying to get a pic of the clownfish issue, you can see the nem was fluffier. Thanks in advance!

Kick-Ich is very strong and a product I do not trust and what puzzles me is that the bottle states NOT for treatment of ich.
The white spots may be brooklynella. The good news is Ruby Rally will treat it - Discontinue Kick-Ich

The clownfish looks fine now so I’m planning to discontinue kick ick and rally. I’m worried about the anemone now, I think the fish will be okay. I appreciate the reply. Any suggestions for the nem? Are the parameters okay? Is it unwise to stop the rally treatment? I’m at the point now where I’m more worried about losing the nem than the clownfish…

Also - I looked up images of Brooklynella and if that was it she had an exceptionally mild case of it. I think it’s more likely that the other clown or maybe the emerald crab nipped at her. You can kind of see it in these pics, this was all from Sunday evening and I see no evidence of it now.

I would run a bag of carbon to mop up that crap, and let the system regain stability, watch behavior carefully.
Sometimes these come and go, maybe an attack, IDK.
Doesn’t look much like a parasite infection to me, or like said, not very advanced.

Carbon wont do much as you can run it with carbon. Large water change and even a tespoon of GFO

I appreciate everyone’s comments. I put new carbon in the tower and did a couple of ~30% water changes over 3 days. Nem is looking much better and the clownfish has been great since day 2. I’m not sure what upset the nem exactly but I’m glad she is back to her old self! Thanks again :)

So Rally Pro will treat ich? I lost some crabs in my other tank but I was also using melafix and pimafix. It could have been one of those. Rally Pro will treat ich?

Oh. I don't know what I have. I have been looking online. I would suspect ich since it is so common. Its a Trigger he seems to be the only on with it. I have clowns in there. It seems concentrated alongnhis spine. Along his forehead and some on his face. It could be velvet or Brooklynella. I have Rally tonight so I treates with that. The stuff seemed smaller. Idk Ich or Velvet I'd say.
