Whats peoplea experience with this fish

Never owned them personally but have ordered them before when I worked at a fish store. I don't know what it is but they seem to carry brook more often than other clowns I ordered from ora. However its only happened a couple times compared to the probably 20 times I've ordered them. I personally don't like the look of them as they tend to be uglier than pictures you see online

They get large compared to other clowns, hardy and can be territorial. To me, one of the better clownfish

One of the overlooked clowns I never kept them but I like to see tanks without the generic ocellaris or percula. I heard a bit more aggressive but it may just be like clarki more agressive which is not much.

I’ve got 13 Saddlebacks in my reef, I’ve found them the most non aggressive well natured of all the species I’ve kept. They live in natural harems and share over 40 different nems in my tank. Three are females and the rest males of various sizes. The largest is about 4 inches and four years old. They breed readily and never attack my hands like other species. The only issue I’ve found is a tendency to pop eye. My oldest female was rescued with bad pop eye and she fully recovered, in the last couple of years two have developed it and then healed completely with no intervention. I’ve yet to find a trigger for it.

I think they are the most overlooked fish in the hobby. Colours are very subtle but beautiful and they truley are a very placid easy going clown provided they have suitable space and nems.
