Safest Bio Media?

First of all I tried putting this in the General Equipment/Filtration category, but it kept taking me here so... Anyways I'm trying to find the safest bio media, I've heard that marinepure leaches aluminum or something like that into the water column, so I'd like to stay away from that. Any recommendations?

Wash all of them real good to minimize the chance of bad stuff release. All bio medias do the same thing, depending on your set up, so choose it base in your condition

Well I care for a coral catshark, which are sensitive to metals.

In addition to the ceramic media above i also like nyon dish scrubbers. Food grade, rated for temperatures far exceeding a reef tank. Also makes a good home for pods.
