Sailfin Tang Fin regrowth

Few weeks ago i added a juvenile sailfin rang ti my 1000 litre tank.

Unfortunately he took a bit of a battering from the yellow tailed purple tangs and the bristle tooth resulting in his glorious finnage getting damaged.

All aggression has stopped and he’s feeding and grazing boldly with zero interference from the Tang Gang.

Question I have will the fins grow back or will he remain disfigured.

Depends on how deep the damage goes, pictures would be helpful. If the damage is all the way to the body, it won’t recover.

That damage should heal IMO. Just make sure your water is clean and the other fish don’t pick on it anymore and you should be in the clear!

The little blighter has staged a remarkable recovery and most of the damage to his dorsal and anal fin has disappeared

surely there must be a simple way to upload videos to this forum and if not is there a reason why the boffins in the tech department are unable to add this feature. in an age of multimedia one would have thought this option would be at the top of the list
