hi all
not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes
every time i test with this kit i never get a reading ....i know i might not have enough in my tank at the time of the test to get a reading but iv just had a go on a 25 litre drum of fresh salt water i got today from my lfs .......didnt get a reading on that aswell

should i get some type of reading from this fresh drum or is my test kit no good
iv tested both ways and both come out clear
thanks

Iodine depletes rapidly from a reef tank, so if you are not dosing any you likely may not detect any.

IMO, that is not a problem since I do not consider it a useful or needed supplement. :)

That said, the kit may also not be giving accurate answers for many reasons.

yes im dosing salifert iodine once every 3 weeks like it says on the bottle , even after that i cant get a reading , plus i thought a fresh drum of slatwater would give some sort of reading
maybe its just my kit
