Hi guys, quick question iv read instructions on the test kit but struggling to understand which reading to use. There is medium and low range, if I put my glass on the colour card my reading is lowish but if I hold it to the side it's the darkest pink colour ? Iv been reading the side view and take that as meaning my nitrates are sky high yet iv been doing the regular water changes and dosing nopox and it's staying the same, anybody that uses the salifert kit can you help clear this up?
Cheers.

In your case, use the "lowish" reading. If the reading is low enough to use the side reading, then you need to divide the resulting reading by 10.

The lowish reading is when you place it on the colour chart and your able to get a reading then you don't need to use the side reading, ? am I wrong?

I'd agree. Looks like 10 to me also. I find it really hard to distinguish between 2 and 5 but that's the range I want to be in so I don't worry about it.
