Urchin! What urchin? lol

I love my tuxedo urchin. Very rarely is on the glass. Just make sure things are glued down!

Lol. I can't find my guy right now.

On another note, I put the pump back in after the trial run using h2o2 (as posted in the other thread above)now my tangs are destroying it! Guess I'll be starting to dose full strength. Apparently knocking the algae with h2o2 kills it enough the tangs are mowing it. Now just waiting to hear from previous or current ppl dosing vinegar. H2o2 and vinegar at the same time or stop vinegar dosing???

Are you going to be dosing the tank or just pulling the rock and soaking it?

I pulled out the rock. I didn't want to kill all the good bacteria in the rock and tank. So i did 5g buckets avery couple of days. This way the bacteria and other live organisms could reattach to the treated rock from previous soakings.

I'm gonna treat the tank since the majority is on the walls. I'll add a bacteria supplement to renew/replace the loss. If I can get the algae to start to die, I'll skip a week of feedings and let the tangs mow.

Thanks KDawg, trust me I've almost thrown in the towel several times. The key imo is to walk away (take a day or 2 to gather your thoughts). This keeps from rash decisions on my part.

No it isn't but I'd rather walk away so I don't go HULK on my reef, lol. Came close when dealing with NO3 and PO4 battles. It's tough but the end reward will outweigh it all.

Round 2 of trying the fowleri in the DT. He's I. The acclimation box. Just like before, the white tail bristletooth is not having it. Everyone else could care less. Terrible pics.

So how is the tank looking? Hair algae going away?
I haven't done anything but pull rock out and put it in the sump or fuge, made some more scaping with the rock and put new carbon and gfo in. Also bumped up my vinegar to 40mL. Gonna see what happens over the next few days.

Just got home and it appears the white tail bristletooth is settled down. Not hanging out much near the acclimation box now. I'd really like to let the fowleri out but think I'm gonna wait a few days.
