I'm wanting to ask because I feel very, very stupid. I have a hard time with math and numbers related things and I didn't want to screw up immediately.

So, um - about mixing saltwater. If I have two 5 gallon buckets, do I mix both at the same salinity and combine once fully mixed? Is that the correct thing I should be doing? I feel very dumb asking this because it's probably like a 'duh' question. I just don't want to mess up and end up causing problems down the line, lol.

If I understand your question correctly, mixing both buckets at the preferred salinity is the way to go. One related question is how are you measuring salinity?

Thank you.
I currently have a hydrometer (one of the little plastic doo-dads), but working very soon on getting a refractometer.
