Hello first time saltwater keeper but have been in the freshwater game for 20+ years my main expertise is South American tropical fish. Long time lurker and finally pulled the trigger on a 70gal saltwater setup

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

Welcome to Reef2Reef! There are plenty of knowledgeable people on this forum that will help you along the way. Something that helped me a lot when I started my first reef tank from freshwater was reading through other hobbyists build threads. Everyone will have experienced and likely overcome a challenge that you will face.
A good consistent maintenance plan will work wonders, as the husbandry on the saltwater side is much more intense and pertinent than freshwater.
