I want to switch my saltwater tank to a fresh, can I use the dry rock from the saltwater tank? Or will it raise the ph or something?

How old is the rock you say dry but is it alive ? If it's dry shouldn't be no problem if it's live I would guess it will cause a lot of ammonia in the fresh water tank due to stuff dying. How ever if you want you could bleach the rock then cure it in fresh water

If the rock is calcium carbonate, after cleaning it, you can use it in a freshwater tank for fish species needing a high pH and carbonate hardness. African Chichlids are an example. You would not want to use this type of rock in tanks of most South American species like tetras, angels, discus, or other species originating from soft, acidic waters.
