I own the Invertig 221. Great little TIG welder. I don't weld very often, but I love having it in my workshop. I actually got it a couple years ago after seeing how much TOT loved it. Works on 110v too, though at a lower power limit. Good for welding small / thin metals

One of the local welding gas suppliers by me offers classes on how to weld. Don't recall what the cost was, but I think it was pretty cheap. MIG welding probably the easiest to use. I've heard it called the hot glue gun of welding before. Its pretty much just point and click to weld with it, but it can splatter a bit which can make a bit of a mess. TIG is much cleaner and quieter, but also requires a more skill to use it well.

I would definitely recommend trying out a class first before buying a welder if possible. Would give you a chance to try it out first to see if it is something you want to invest in, and you can abuse learn on their machines instead of on your own starting out

Then you can weld your own stands! One of my friends is a welder, and I want her to weld a stand for a 20g lol

hehe yep he was small when I got him; still is pretty small but he's been in the tank almost as long as its been up!
Pretty hardy and swims right up to the front of the tank when I walk up. He has been putting on the lbs lately.

My salinity probe has been acting up and giving a bunch of bogus readings so I decided to give it a vinegar soak.
This is what I found was the issue:

Working great! I’ve only vinegar soaked it. I thought it broke after not cleaning it for over 6 months but a little soak and a scrub and it’s back at it. Still going strong!
