Hi All -

I am doing a 150 build. This time I am doing aqua scaping with rock and making it the way I really want, but do have a question for the collective. Knowing that Goby's and Pistol Shrimp like to dig under the rock, I have created several cavities under the aqua scape for them to do that. My thought was to put some sand in place before setting the rock to fill in that void, then once the rock was in, fill the tank with sand.

Am I being too anal and concerned with these critters, or is this reasonable with what others have done. The rock will still touch the bottom of the tank, so stability is not an issue.

TIA,

Mark

I like setting the rock down first and then filling in sand around them.
They dont need open caves just room to burrow so fill in all with sand. Theyll dig.

Not talking about that much sand. Just plan to fill in the area under the rock. Rock will still touch the bottom
