If seastars are not supposed to be exposed to air. Why does mine insist on crawling to the top of the water line in the aquarium. I push him down and he goes right back up to the edge of the water line, exposing one or 2 arms

It's just a myth to try to explain why the vast majority of star fish die in the average hobbyist tanks.
