I'm hoping to soon move my fish over to a new tank. The plan was to go with FOWLR, but I have a couple of larger sarcophyton glaucum I think I'd like to keep, and put them in their tank.
None of the fish I currently have mess with them. But with the larger tank, I'd like to add a few more fish.
I cannot remember ever coming across a discussion pertaining to problems with any fish eating toadstool leathers. Are there fish that do indeed eat or pick at sarcophytons?

TIA

I've never seen a fish even nip at one to be honest, even in our old predator tanks. I was nervous about our emperor angel but he had no interest.

Thanks.
I've never seen any of mine either, but they're mostly tangs. Wasn't sure about angels, butterflies or any of the other less common filefish.

Certain species of chaetodontids (butterflyfish) may nip at the polyps considering that in the wild their diets are almost entirely composed of soft coral polyps, zoanthids, and small anemones

I have a Kleins in the tank. He's never bothered them.
Nor has he ever bothered the aiptasia he was put in the tank to take care of. Lol
