I have always used a twist PC light to grow chaeto. But brs put out a pretty good video showing the difference of quality and quantity of chaeto growth between each type of light. They all grow it, but with the limited space I wanted to have as much nutrient export as possible without spending 250 bucks on a kessil.

I got my light on amazon.

Yeah I watched that, but I'm with you forget spending that much on a chaeto light. Although.. I had a strip light for $20, my current one for probably $30ish, so if I decide to get this combo I'm almost there in spending kessil fuge money! :eek:

This anagrow led twist on “bulb” is kicking butt. I bumped up my fuge to an 18 hour lighting cycle and the chaeto has exploded. I added the golf ball size chaeto from algae barn and it is about 20 times that size in as many days, but has been nearly doubling in size each day since I upped the cycle time 4 days ago. I will had some pics when I trim.
