SCA 90 Gallon PNP Build Thread

Picked up this 90 Gallon SCA Rimless (113 Gallon with sump) on FB market place last Sunday.

This week I was able to set the tank up, plumb it, move over my live rock and some of my fish!

This is replacing my Red Sea reefer 130 as a display tank as my wife didn’t like the look of the Red Sea .

Below are some photos of the progress over the first week!

Still waiting on my RMS mount and light diffuser for my Radion XR30 Gen 4 pro to arrive in the mail. For now I have a temporary SB reef light hanging over the tank.

This upcoming week I will also work on cord management as well.

Me too. Grew up in Cortland and even lived in Syracuse for a year in 1996.

Quick update on the build. Fish seem to be doing great as well as most Corals.

My acans seem to do better in my other tank (likely because of them being under T5 & LED).

Other than that it’s starting to fill in nicely!

Two month update!

Corals in the tank are doing great! My acans finally came around.

I unfortunately (knowing better) had to pull all of my fish out and began the QT process.

Added an LED fuge light with Chaeto and Dragons breath macro that seems to be growing well thus far!

looking forward to adding some new zoas and other corals soon!
