A lot of people when they are first setting up a tank want to have the dynamic motion of having a school of fish in their tank. But a lot of people don't realize that you need a lot of space in order to have a proper school of fish. Smaller tanks (Under 100 gallons) can only really hold a small grouping and a lot of the times they don't tend to actually swim together in a proper school as there is not enough room or reason to. If you have a larger tank and can put a decent amount of fish in you will have more of a successful chance at getting a proper school.
