Can someone help me figure out what could be going on with my warpaint scolly. It's color has been good. IT's been in the tank now for about a month. For the past couple of weeks it has looked like what is shown in the pictures. It hasn't shrunk or grown. But it has those brown filiaments coming out of it and they seem to always be there. Other posts say this sort of thing is coral poop but again it's been like these for a couple weeks now. Water Parameters have been solid. I do weekly water changes. Here are the last readings. These are very typical from week to week.

Have you tried using a turkey baster to blow it off?

It certainly does resemble the expelling of zooxanthellae.

Yes it seems to be sorta attached in someway. I haven't seen anything picking at it at night, it doesn't get sand blasted by the goby...just the occasional perch while waiting to feed. I broadcast feed a variety of food so no direct feeding yet.
