I also have the same problem but haven't figure on what to do with it. i want to rescue these scoly i bought for a very good price but i haven't seen any mouth feeding comes out yet. just puff at night time but shrink up in day time. How long did you dip your corals for and did you do a fresh water dip after or just put it back in the tank?

I did a coral RX dip for 10 minutes and them back into the tank. I have put it under a rocks ledge for low light and medium flow. It seems to be doing well. I took it out of the tank and fed it in a Tupperware container and it ate. It actually did very well with feeding that way.

I have since noticed that the worms seem to all be some sort of feather dusters.

I have lugol's Iodine dip. Will that work for my situation? Or should I go buy some coral RX dip? Not to sure on what to do.

I haven't ever used lugols. I'm not up on all of the dips. Earlier in this thread the one you have was recommended to me. It may/would be better than nothing. and you could redip once you get another if it doesn't do the trick.

Good news! This morning I saw 2 of the scoly puff up a little bit. Last night I dip them in lugols solutions for 10mins and found out there were some pod and something clearly white slug look like a flat worm, just one. It is looking a little better then usual.

My next question is: how often should I dip the corals again with lugols solution or coral Rx dip? Will it be bad to do it every other day or each week? Can I also dip the coral orange plate as well?

Awesome!! I think It would be okay to dip every few days/week until its back to normal and then once more for good measure.

Those worms under your coral are Vermitid Snails. They live in that hard tube and cast out a mucus net to catch particles in the water column. The mucus net can be irritating to some corals. I've had them kill spots on sps colonies were the mucus net touches the coral constantly. You can put a dab of superglue gel in the hole and kill it if it's bothering you or the coral.

Glad your coral is doing well!

Thanks Ritter! They don't seem to be bothering it or I would get rid of them. If I notice any funny business they are gone!!
