Over a week ago I found my scoly being eaten by a crab and some pods. It had been stung by some other coral. I didn't want it to die by predation. So I put it in a plastic container and hung it on the tanks lip. Covered it to dim the light. I have been gently swishing old water into tank and allowing new water in. Then began feeding with liquid foods. Not really expecting anything. What do you think? Mouth growing back maybe?

I will have to look later. I honestly had not thought it had a chance. But was still attempting to feed it and gently allowing tank water to flow in its container. When I noticed there was some type of membrane growing over the skeleton. I was like, maybe it has a chance

An isolation box would be better to keep it in, and you can get cage's for your coral on the sand.

But long term you would need to move the crab on that was eating it - the pods wouldnt bother it (they would have just been eating bits that the crab was dropping).

I can move the crab. I have several tanks. Gets a bit confusing remembering who plays nice with whom.

I do have a plexi glass cage I made to protect my crocia clam from a copperband. I may give it a go. Right now I may just wait. No flow in the container to move food away might be working. I am diligent about allowing new water to flow in and replace the existing water several times daily. I really didn't expect it to still be alive. Trying not to get my hopes up

I also remove the cloth so a little light reaches it before the lights ramp up.

She is still hanging in. Not expecting any changes in one day. Just documentation.

Sadly it started to smell really bad today. It couldn't be alive and smell that bad. I will wait and try again. I have a crocea clam and trachy both for 5 plus years. So hopefully the next one does better now that the crab is in a fish only tank
