is my scoly ok? I just noticed it’s mouth is wide open, I just got it a week ago

Looks to be struggling, gaping mouth is never a good sign, unfortunately
 
Could it be that it’s hungry or anything specific that is causing that to happen, I moved it today from the sand bed bc it kept getting sand on top of it
