Scoly to rubble?

Hey guys I finally pulled the trigger on my first scoly! I have a barebottom tank and placing it there, but do I glue this coral to a piece of rubble rock first OR does the weight of its own skeleton hold them in place? (the location won't have direct flow)

No glue required. Very pretty.

I don’t have any tips on mounting the scoly, but very nice coral! Good choice!

Looks more like a Trac to me, Scolly is usually very round.

Glad to hear this... The last mounting task turned into a disaster! I was trying the BRS glue, then gorilla glue... finally I tried Harbor Freights glue... well that thing was as thin as water, and I squirted up my WWC Yellowtips Acro :(

Very nice piece but it’s definitely a Trachy! It should be heavy enough that you won’t have to glue it

Probably just a mislabel but I think that price is fair for something from TSA

Not necessarily, it depends largely on colour and size.
My Scollies all have flat bottoms, my trachies all have a cone shape.
Nevertheless, that’s great colour and worth the price IMM.

Very nice..I put mine on a small PVC pipe to keep the flesh of the substrate.

Is it completely melted? I had a trachy recover from a terrible wound from a dropped rock.

TSA never sent it. I have to give them credit, they said it was hurting and they wouldn't send a coral that wasn't 10%.

Hopefully I find something for the bare-bottom.
