Hi y’all,

long story short, I recent combined my frag tank system with my 75 gallon display into a 120g tall display tank.

however my Scopas Tang doesn’t leave my new foxface alone. I wanted to add more herbivorous so I thought a foxface would be great option. Not sure if it’s normal aggression which would stop or if I should drain the tank and try to pull one of the fish out.

the tang is a little larger than the foxface

Thoughts or advice

How many other fish (specifically tangs) do you have in your 125-gallon? You could try the mirror trick (taping a small flat mirror to one side of the tank) to see if that helps. If you can catch the foxface you could also place him in an acclimation box.

Tang behavior like this generally simmers down after 48-72 hurs.
Things you can do:
- seperate them with divider
- scopas in an acclimation box for 10 days
- Mirror against tank to divert tang's attention
- Lower tank lights causing scopas to hide

Hopefully the lights off and mirror works

Foxface are shy and skittish when introduced to new surroundings. It'll be fine in time.
