Hey Guys,

I am hooking up a reef Pi system.
I have an low res LCD screen that I would like to have scroll information about my tank. It’s maybe 16x150pixels

things like the temperature, what equipment is on, that kind of thing.

Does reef Pi have the option for this?

This is the lcd Here.

It doesn’t give the actual resolution, but it says 4x20 characters.

I figured I can make a separate program that uses the reef-Pi API, but I’d much rather use a direct Reef-Pi feature

A few have used an old tablet or kindle fire that boots and goes right to the reef pi web interface as a display...may be another option

That’s a cool idea! I just want something small that shows me the temperature, and maybe the status of the co2. So that might be overkill.

does reef Pi have the ability to connect to a lcd screen?

I know if can send emails, so I would assuming having it send the same text to a lcd wouldn’t be much different

reef-pi does not have the ability to connect to LCD screens. You could write a python program to query reef-pi api and send data to the LCD.
