Guys,

Are there any vendors who package up their screen top mesh in a roll (not folded)? I am looking for some stuff that is in a roll (no creases).

Has anybody ever used just regular fiber glass screen mesh as a DIY mesh material?

TIA

I purchased my screen top supplies from Bulk Reef Supply and it did come folded. I believe I used a hair dryer on it to help get the creases out. But that was several years ago. My screen top doesn't have any creases in it, so it must have worked.

I got my DD Jumpguard top kit rolled up in a shipping tube.

I bought some off amazon it has large openings is marketed for aquariums and not blocking light. It is folded but I don't have memory seams problems at all

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I have a lid from Clearview and while it's nice I prefer my DD Jumpguard. I bought 2 kits with extra cross pieces. It sits flush on my eurobraced tank. The extra cross pieces stiffens it up and makes a handy handle to remove ( I know they come with one, but I like the cross piece.

I have the RedSea framing and some black mesh, but the mesh came folded and I can't get the creases out. My OCD perfectionism isn't always my friend.

Looks like the IM universal one comes in a tube.

Any type other than "clear" takes a pretty decent bite out of your PAR.
Black fiberglass, aluminum..ect.

Not concerned about a lack of PAR in my setup (Kessil 360XE over a 11 gallon nano) which is currently at 11% of 100 in terms of intensity setting. 😁

The fiberglass mesh that I'd consider for this I've never seen in anything other than "gutter guard" sized rolls....so only 8" wide or so. But if that works for your tank size and you can work with the material, I think it'd be fine.

I had mine come folded and it worked fine... just stretch it when you roll the spline in.. nice and tight.. Helps if you've done screen before...
