When I first got the fish in Early July it would eat a sheet a day. Something happened where the fish got ill, likely ick/flukes, so I moved it into QT and treated with copper/hypo. Since then it wont pick at any nori. It's still eating regular food but this has been going on for 3 weeks now. I have tried rubber banding to a rock, garlic, etc. No luck.

Is it still in copper or hypo?
That can suppress appetite.

If it's still eating, then I wouldn't worry too much

Try adding garlic to the nori. Brine shrimp should entice it to eat

Fish is in main tank now. Its eating mysis and some pellets. Just not eating any nori at all. Hasn't touched it in over 2 months. Been trying garlic, etc.

I have the same fish and it never ate nori for some reason. I feed it veggie kelp pellets with brine/mysis and doing well for the last two months.

Do you have it in a reef tank? I am concerned about not being able to feed the fish enough.

I guess I'll give it another week and if no changes I guess I will either cull the fish or rehome it.

Huh? Because it isn't eating nori? You said it's eating mysis and pellets, right?

Yes, if this fish isn't grazing on nori its probably not healthy. It's also a bit on the skinny side. Likely because I cant feed it enough. I am concerned about having a not healthy fish and eventually since I cant keep up with the feedings its going to start munching on my corals.

Do you suspect it has worms in its gut? Prazi would cure that, and it can be used in a display. You can also soak frozen food in metro, if you use a binding agent.

One other option I am contemplating is adding another grazing fish like a yellow tang. Maybe if another fish is eating it the rabbit will pick back up.

I don't think so. It doesn't have stringy poop. I did treat with GC and prazi when the fish stopped eating nori back in July.

Mine tears up small and large seaweed extreme pellets by Hikari, it eats nori but not enthusiastically. Eats all live algaes. Also anything meaty. Tears up red ogo and ulva both are easily grown in refigium.
