Ive had a sea cucumber for around 18 months and when I went to the tank this morning I now have 2 sea cucumbers!

I’ve read some species may be capable of asexual reproduction/splitting but any thoughts how this has happened?

I think it might be a Tiger Tail Cucumber

Hello again,

According to this article, there are 16 confess cucumber species that perform fission. I believe the species that we both have is Holothuria hilla.

I have the same species, almost for the same time. I don't often see it out and about. Was there any event that might have precipitated the fission?
