My sea hare just laid a clump of eggs. They are a yellowish stringy mass about an inch in diameter. She's the only sea hare in there so I assume they are infertile, right? I have read on the lifecyle of seaslugs and from my reading I think they die shortly after laying eggs. Is that true? I hope not. Will they die if the eggs aren't viable from a mating?

No, if its just started laying eggs, not likely its going to die on you. The eggs won't hatch, and will either probably get eaten or the system will dissolve them. Best to just remove them.
