Got the 2nd pump kit today. I'm using a psk-1000 impeller. My original impellers shaft didn't hold up. Lol.
This kit really helped my troft from running too much water. 4 hrs after install and the skimmer is back to performing.

What does the kit come with? Is it possible for you to take a picture of it?

I just won the Division 250 at Reef Stock today. Will set it up later this week.

I saw that. I just couldn't tell everything that it came with. Can't quite figure out what those pieces are on the bottom.

The kit comes with some hose. Black anti kink wrap material for electrical wires. Two hose clamps. Some o rings and the white pvc piece.

Another happy user here. Easy to dial in and seems to be very effective. I shortened the overflow sock as it was drifting too close to other equiment. I found that you have to place the plastic overflow screen just right so it keeps the skimmer quiet.
The skimmer is the 250 unit and its running on a tank with an overall system of 150 gallons. I run it 24/7. I also have this sitting on a silicone mat and underneath a closed cabinet. Overall, I'm very pleased with SeaChem's product.

Can you send a pic of water hight vers pump my pump sits 1/2 out of the water

I know it wasn't directed at me but I think mine sits in 8-9" of water. Maybe more. I'll measure and get a hard number for you tonight when I get home from work.

Still think this is a great skimmer for your dollars.
Added a large 5g water jug to catch my skimate. Like the ones for water dispensers. Lol.
Even lazier I have become.

What's the plastic Overflow screen? Mine only came with a sponge.
Need to get a replacement sock kit bad.

Thanks . Have it running now but what a pain to adjust. Had to turn the screw almost althe way in by pump to slow pump intake to get a nice foaming head. What am I missing.

The sump depth where the skimmer sits is 9". The pump top sits about 1" below the surface of the water. But my skimmer is now a modified 500 version. The only differences between the various models are the height of the tower and the pump size. I was able to purchase just the 500 tower from LFS and replaced the original 250 tower.

I also replaced the PSK 600 with a Sicce PSK SDC 1200 controllable DC pump. I also have my incoming air line connected to outside air. The skimmer is dead quiet.

As far as the sock goes, I purchased a replace kit (2 socks) from my LFS and cut the sock in half and use a small zip tie to seal off on of the cut ends which now gives me four socks.
