Has anyone used Seachem Reef uilder to raise Alk? I hear it makes water cloudy and needs to be added to sump. I have a 55 gal with no sump. 2 hob filters and skimmer. Can I add directly to display? Suppose to raise Alk without affecting Cal Mag or PH which is EXACTLY what I need. My Parameters- Alk 6.8.5 Cal 450 Mag 1320PH 8.3 phos 0 Nitrate 5.0. Thanks

Almost a year later and I assume you aren't still wondering but, I use it in a 40 gallon all in one. I haven't had any issues with cloudy water. You should not add the powder directly to your tank and I had a hard time back when I was trying to mix it in DI water to use on the spot. (It took a lot of effort to dissolve it into the DI water)

These days I mix up a stock solution on my magnetic stirrer, put in my 80 ml per day to maintain the level and enjoy my reef.

Hope that helps you or someone else.
