seadoo boats

Has anybody had any of the seadoo boats? I'm looking at getting the seadoo speedster 200. I live in fort lauderdale. I'll be using it mainly on the intercoastal. My uncle has a place I can keep it at on the intercoastal. Just looking for some experience or opinions on the boat. I've never owned a boat before.

I think you'll really love it, I have a 2002 SeaDoo Sportster LT, its the same thing as the Speedster. SeaDoo just can't make up their mind though and keeps changing the name from Speedster to Sportster and vice versa. Although I would really only recommend a boat that small (mine is 16ft) on smooth lakes, in choppy water it can get bumpy. Oh and if you hit a big wave you will catch some mad air, I've had my boat out of the water about 6ft high and am very surprised that the fiberglass didn't crack (and my back too :) ). Only thing I don't like about it is I accidently sucked in some ski rope to one of the engines (my boat is twin engine) and it took about 1.5 hours to take apart the intake and get it all out. I do wish it was a bit bigger though so I could take it on choppier water. Very fast boat though.

what kinda gas do you put in the boat? and about how long does a tank last? I saw that the boat i'm looking at is 40 gal cap. and with fuel prices at like 2.30 premium that isn't that bad...but if thats like 1 day...ouch. 2-3 days...VERY NICE!

My boat is 2-cycle engines, but all I do is add the SeaDoo XPS oil to one reservoir and premium gas in the gas tank and it mixes it on its own. My boat is right around 160hp and I've been out on the lake from 9am till 6pm and still had between 1/4 and 1/2 tank left out of a 20 (or so) gallon tank.

well...i saw a nice one for $10,000 which is about my price range. i was looking at a 33 ft. donzi...but that's not gunna happen. LOL realistically...i'm 23 and want to get out to the sandbars to drink with some girls!
