Hello,
Had two seahorses for about 9 months, and I'm growing concerned about if they're going to survive.
Water Parameters:
8.1 ph
water temp 72.4
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: ~0.03
1.5 alkalinity
ph3 (phosphate): ~0.1
I have a 33 gallon tank, which I change about 5 gallons each week.
Diet: Feed them mysis and sometimes a mix of spurilina 2x a day, sometimes 3x a day (maybe 5-6 pieces per feeding)
Recently, one of my seahorses has been coiled around the base of a fake plant hitching post and breathing a little heavier than usual. He stopped eating yesterday and ignores food now. The other one was a little healthier but also seems to be somewhat sedentary (more so than usual). He is still eating, but with less gusto and interest.
I'm really not sure what to do now, but changed water last night. I did take a video if anyone has ideas?
The one on the RIGHT is the one I'm more concerned about.. They're not moving at all anywhere, he's been on the base of this post for 36 hours now. Not eating, doing nothing. I tried moving him he got a bit more upright for a few then once I gently put the post back down he resumed this spot.
