Seahorses using each other as hitching posts?

I recently got 3 female yellow lined Erectus seahorses, even though they have about 5 designated hitching posts around the tank one of them keeps wrapping its tail around the other seahorses. Is this normal?
 
This is completely normal. Seahorses will wrap around pretty much anything; including each other.

First congratulations on ur new seahorses, and yes it’s normal as long as it’s not violent they are just fine
