I have an established reef tank, no serious corals yet, just some leathers and mushrooms. In preperation for taking it to the next level I need a good pump. Considering cost of pump, cost of operation and required flow for 210 tank and 30 gallons actual water in sump, I would appreciate recommendations. My plumbing is one inch, but it bottlenecks down to 3/4 after it goes through the bottom of the overflow chamber. As I do not use a chiller, heat is an issue as well, Thank you all in advance for the benefit of your experience,

My biggest concern is actual flow after 5 feet of head and reduction to 3/4".

I’ve had Sicce and COR ….nod to Sicce as its controllable and the brand has a great reliability reputation (relatively speaking) …the app is a lil goofy but what wi-fi app isn’t ..
also it’s IOTA so does work with Fusion

With most pumps they have specs available . I’m currently using a jeabo dc20000 and like it .
As a return pump for my 230 gal it’s working good .

Return is almost 6’ to the top of the tank from the sump

I purchased a Fluval SP4 for my up coming 225 gallon tank, but DC pumps are so much easier to use.

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?
