Hi guys, I'm searching for the best place to buy very beautiful looking clams. I have T5-Led lights so vibrant colors are important. Thanks.

We have quite the collection at AlgaeBarn!

We have Gigas, Hippopus, Maxima (multiple grades), Derasa, and Squamosa! If you are interested, we can send you a photo of our current selection and you can pick whichever one you like :)

We also offer Clam keeper kits that include live phytoplankton, copepods, an appropriately sized clam rock, as of course the clam :)

Awesome, those are really beautiful clams you have. A WYSIWYG system will be most beneficial for u guys since most people would like to see the exact clam before they get it.

Quick question, what would be the downside to keeping a Deressa and a Maxima in a 75gal mixed reef tank?

You might be late for work more often...because you can't stop looking at them :D.

Other than that, you will want to keep an eye on the big three (cal, alk, mag) as they are fast growers and can consume quite a bit.

If you can circle the ones you are interested in, we can get you a good closeup and we will ship you that exact one. We are finishing our build list for the new clam system, should be done before the end of Q3.

Our clams were not too happy yesterday as I accidentally shut off their lighting power strip and wave maker. I'll get you care requirements in the next few days, but it's essentially good lighting, decent flow, and some live phyto wouldn't hurt! Maximas require the greatest amount of light (think sps levels)

They recovered fine, will get you close ups in the next day or two
Do you guys have any Tahitian gold maximas? My wife and I saw them diving on our honeymoon and I’m trying to think of a mutually beneficial birthday gift for her upcoming birthday on the 19th. Thank you :) I’ll get her something else too don’t worry ;)

It will take a derasa sometime to outgrow a 75 gal. I have had one growing from 2 inch to about 8 inch in 3 years before I got rid of the tank. Make sure you keep up with dosing as they grow.

Beautiful clam there! They are considered much faster growers than Maximas, but they still take time

Get her two of them :-D. I'm pretty sure we have some ultra gold maximas in stock, similar to this. I'll have our invert guy snap some photos.
