how about a discussion about seasonal effects on our tanks
winter:
- we all deal with closed up houses and high CO2 levels leading to pH issues
1) top off with kalkwasser keeps levels more stable
2) vent skimmer intake to outside air
summer:
- high humidity of the summer i get little evaporation (from about 4 gallons a day to about 1 gallon a day)
- temperature is always an issue unless you have a chiller
1) my basement sump help a lot
2) i don't own a chiller but fans do help except in extreme high humidity
3) add more two part to make up for less kalk
does anyone else have any tips to deal with these issues?
