skimmer came in today. is an reef octopus 202 s. this thing is a beast!


old 5" reef octopus (left side) and the 202 s next to each other.

had to cut out a bubble baffle from the sump to give it room. you can see where the old baffle was.

already pulling within the first 30 min.

not much man just trying to reef , i always want to post pics. just idk.

setup a algae scrubber sometime back. its helped remove a bunch of over growing hair algae. like that one is this pic, this one is not my nor is the image mine. just google it and looks like the first one i made.




however , it would spray water everywhere from time to time. i would find water on the floor and wasnt happy.
i orders a dog food container from ebay for 20.00, drilled some holes added a couple bulkheads, mesh and some pvc parts.

end up with. the first one was only one mesh this one is two. this one is contain so it can spray all it wants. this is a larger unit i have a 200 gal tank. so for anyone looking for a small container , they are out there as well.





i also want to try a grow light on the first one but didnt get a chance to ordering one. this time i orders a 28w bulb grow led light from ebay.
siting next to a normal bulb and a picture of is running.
