hmmm, went from that 75 to that 120, now to a 200 gal 7ft x 24 in x 24 in. i moved to a new house and a good friend(reefer as well) of mine offered me a larger tank that he had sitting around. do you think i would turn that down. i had to take down the 120 for the move so why not, sorry Dave have to say it, Hell ya, i'll set up the 200.

will post some more about and some pics in a couple days or so..

thanks for reading,

i was running an ocean motion system on my last tank. however this time i and changing it up a bit and installing a couple jebos wave makers. i also got the jbwave controller for them which is made by someone else and allows me to use my phone to control the pumps settings.

IMG_20141106_142328_471.jpg

couple of videos while messing around with the pumps and controller settings. not using the settings in the video was just cool to see what you can do with them.

big tank big lights. have had 600watts in my face sense i put this tank up. so, lets make some DIY curtains/rods.

start off by getting a tube bender, borrowed mine from a buddy.
IMG_20150926_140928996_zpsm0insr0g.jpg

took electrical conduit and bend them.

IMG_20150926_141007907_zpsg2owki4t.jpg

drill some holes and install from eye hooks.
IMG_20150926_141059822_zpsqvyflink.jpg

installed some open hooks in the ceiling. find some curtain that fit or cut some up. i install some for testing and someone is making me some custom ones. and i no longer have 600watts in my face blinding me when i want to view my tank.

need a couple of sock holders. ya, can find some on the net for maybe 20 -40 dollars for a pair. had a piece of acrylic sitting around doing nothing. what a way to save.
drill a couple holes, re-size the acrylic scrap.

clamp down, heat up and bend in a couple different directions.

quick and simple dual sock hanger. only have one sock in while testing. save me a couple dollars, so its time for a new fish!

was looking at one of my zoa's. something didnt look right about one of them. took some shot and looks it over. seems i have a hitch hiker in the middle of my Z&P's. looks like a small blasto coral. thinking about cutting it out and letting it grow by its own on a frag (disc/plug).

Little DIY time maybe some zoa shots later. fun cheap quick clean looks. like using this duckbill nozzle that come with rio pumps.

like this one. you can get them from ebay for a 1.00 or less. ther are two types (large, small) make sure you get the larger one. lock lines are like 20.00 so ya its can be worth the time.

these nozzles come so close to fitting normal PVC 1/2 stuff. it just doent cut it. little too fat.

IMG_20151027_135841617_zpstz78okqu.jpg

just take a dremel with any sanding pad and hone the inside of the 1/2 PVC fitting. doesnt take much maybe 30 sec to a min going around the inside.
IMG_20151027_135948233_zpse7yx6tbl.jpg

you can do this with the PCV coupling or elbo, i have one of the elbo types here.

IMG_20151027_140044430_zpspsra6aue.jpg

you should check it fit a couple times. i sand it till the duckbill slides in about halfway.

IMG_20151027_140155331_zpskkuadciq.jpg

no glue needed in most uses, nice tight fit for a clean look at a low price.
