I currently have 2 tanks (fish only) interconnected with single sump total size about 350g. I will be moving to new house and want to get 550g main tank + sump. I have 2 part question seeking advice. Part 1 - what is best way to tear down tank, stopping the equipment and make it fairly headache & hassle free? Part 2 - I'm looking for tank manufacturers that can produce, ship & perhaps install 8x3x3 550g tank plus stand and sump. Any recommendations? I will be doubling my tank size, anything in particular I should be aware of with tank this size? Thanks

Is this new tank going to be fish only as well?

A 3' deep tank can be a really serious headache to clean and work in. I know several people in our local club who had them and have either now sold them or are sorry they got them for just those reasons.

Good luck.

Acrylic or glass? For a tank that large, acrylic starts to make sense. I bought mine from fishtanksdirect. They do make one 96x36x36. Long leadtime though.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
