Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have a 60-gallon cube, and in 2 years or less, I will be moving back home where I will have my 150-gallon. I can not use my 150-gallon tank in the house I currently live in. My question is, can I place small fish 1-3 inches in size now but will grow and require the 150-gallon tank later? I keep reading that these fish, like Tangs and Puffers, require a 125-gallon tank or larger but when do they require a tank that size?

Honestly, most ‘small’ fish you find that want 125G tanks don’t stay small for long and tend to grow out of smaller tanks within just a few months to one year.
