I am currently working on removing my sand one water change at a time to eventually go bare bottom. My issue is that I put a sheet of light diffuser down between the rock and glass. I believe I'm going to adapt by cutting some frag plug stems in half, fragging some of my zoas, and putting the zoas on the bottom to "replace" my sandbed. We shall see how that goes.

Decently productive day. Got the sump built. Still not sure if going to switch over or stock with what's on my 90 now that's tried and true. Decisions decisions. If keep the 20L sump I built the first chamber is the overflow which will house my skimmer, heater, and possibly filter sock. The second will be simply rock rubble, as I'm sure I'll have a bit leftover. Final will be return.
Also got the front stained with a single coat. Had some extra ply leftover so closed in the back with ports for wiring. I'm thinking of finding a way to incorporate a fan to blow out humidity through back wall. Another coat of kilz inside the stand as well.

Thank you! Was a lot of fun to put together. Also, Really wasn’t bad at all to build! Just used random items of different sizes to trace circles, then cut out with a jig saw and sanded edges. The smaller circles were hole saw bits. Holding strong and the stain/seal is holding strong as is the interior of the cabinet.

How is the tank looking now?
Just finishing up a trial method of Dino removal, unfortunately, I was able to save all my Coral and the tank from being overrun at the cost of losing all my fish except the clowns. It sucks, sucks a lot! But, the tank will survive and be rebuilt. All due to my error of bottoming nitrates being the root cause.
