I recently got a 38 gallon used tank. The self leveling mat got ruined when I was transporting it and I am looking to replace it. The dimensions are 24.5 by 24.5 inches. The self leveling mat I purchased is 48 by 24. So it is about a half inch or so off. Is it fine if I cut it and join the pieces in the center of the tank, so it will reach the end of the tank? or will this cause issues.
Thanks

You're worried about the "extra" half inch, right?

What kind of tank is this, BTW? (pic?)

Yes that’s my worry. I guess I could cut a strip that is half inch and put it on the edge. I was just curious if a seam is fine or not.

It is an icecap 38.5 gallon. Kind of an odd ball tank. Have not seen much information on them. But I got it a few weeks ago. And trying to get it up running.
